Media Visits
Destination NSW organises familiarisation visits to NSW destinations to assist Australian and overseas media produce stories that will inform and inspire their audiences.
Visits are coordinated by Destination NSW publicists and are supported by NSW tourism operators who provide assistance such as accommodation, meals, transport and touring.
Media assisted under the program represent online, print and broadcast outlets and reach audiences targeted by Destination NSW. Coverage that results from the visit is collected, evaluated and distributed to sponsoring partners.

- Various bloggers, writers and photographers visited Sydney to cover Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, from late April to mid-May
- AAP visited the Mid North Coast to write about family friendly touring on the Legendary Pacific Coast, 4 to 9 May
- News Limited’s Escape visited Lord Howe Island for a feature on nature experiences, 5 to 8 May
- A group of six domestic media visited the Hunter Valley with Porsche to cover food and wine, spa and arts experiences, 8 to 9 May
- United Airlines inflight magazine Hemispheres visited Sydney to write a story about the Shangri-la Hotel, 8 to 9 May

- Out and About with Kids is writing a family feature on Mudgee, Wellington and Zoofari Lodge at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, 18 to 20 May
- Living Magazine (New Zealand Herald) is visiting Sydney to write about “surprising stays”, 18 to 21 May
- Rheinische Post (Germany) is visiting Sydney and the Hunter Valley to write features on Vivid, NSW nature and food and wine, 21 to 25 May
- QTV “I am Real” (Korea) shooting a 60 minute program on Sydney including Vivid and the Blue Mountains, 27 May to 1 June
