Regional Tourism Product Development Funding Program

This funding program is now closed.

In 2011 the NSW Government allocated $5 million for a one year Regional Tourism Product Development Program to create, grow and enhance tourism products available across regional NSW to help attract more visitors.

The Funding Program was delivered in two streams:

Stream One - Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) Allocation

  • Each mainland Regional Tourism Organisation received $250,000 with Inland (representing New England North West, Outback and Capital Country) receiving $750,000 (total funding pool $3,250,000).

Stream Two - Large-Scale and/or State Significant Allocations

  • The additional $1.75 million was made available to successful applicants from the tourism industry for large scale projects that will significantly benefit a region(s).

A total of 113 projects were approved as part of Stream One.
