The International Business Development Program is designed to support NSW product suppliers and destination promoters by providing financial support for trade familiarisation and educational visits, Destination NSW missions to market, trade workshops, nominated Tourism Australia missions and events, and other international trade events.
As a result of Sydney hosting the 2017 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), Destination NSW will not undertake trade missions in the 2016/2017 financial year. The scale and opportunity of ATE is such that Destination NSW will focus on maximizing access to the attending international buyers for our destinations via an enhanced familiarisation program.
The extensive ATE 2017 NSW Familiarisation Program will be available to all registered participating ATE buyers, showcasing a wide range of NSW tourism products, experiences and destinations.
Destination NSW is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from export-ready products to participate in the ATE 2017 NSW Familiarisation Program. The export-ready products must be businesses that are actively engaged in international markets and offer commissions to travel agents, wholesalers or inbound tour operators. Both Sydney and regional NSW operators should express interest by completing an EOI form by Friday, 5 August 2016 or contact the ATE17 DNSW team on email email@example.com
ATE will be held in Sydney from 14 - 18 May 2017.
Destination NSW will continue to host a comprehensive year-round familiarisation program in addition to the ATE 2017 NSW Familiarisation Program. The Destination NSW International Offices will also continue to represent and promote NSW tourism products in-market as well as at international trade events. Tourism Australia will also run a series of in-market trade events for 2016/2017 and Destination NSW encourages NSW tourism products to join these events where relevant. The Destination NSW International Business Development Program will resume in 2017/2018.
