Destination NSW is proud to have Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation as its official charity partner for Vivid Sydney 2025.

Funds raised will go straight to the frontline of children's health, supporting the 159,000 sick kids who pass through the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network each year, comprising Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Kids Research, The Newborn & Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS) and Bear Cottage.

Throughout this year’s festival, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation has an installation on the Vivid Light Walk in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, which reflects the festival’s Dream theme.

The installation gives festival-goers the opportunity to step into a digital canvas where children's dreams come alive in an evolving dreamscape.

Dream Scene showcases the wonderous, whimsical imaginations of young patient ambassadors from SCHF.

This vibrant insight into the minds of these amazing, resilient children is also an invitation for everyone to dream big.

Attendees can draw their own dream, add it to the evolving interactive mural and watch as it transforms in real-time. Or they can influence the dreamscape via an on-site QR code, triggering playful interactions that shift and reshape the artwork.

A celebration of  boundless imagination,  Dream Scene is a powerful reminder that together, we can change the future for sick kids.

A Sydney Sick Kids Day event was also held at the Dream Scene installation on 5 June.

Vivid Sydney and Refettorio OzHarvest feed those in need

Refettorio OzHarvest hosted a unique dinner series in collaboration with Vivid Sydney from 23 May to 12 June.

Our Shared Dream: A World With No Waste saw culinary artistry, sustainability and social impact come together for seven unforgettable dinners. Each night, a leading Australian chef joined forces with the Refettorio team to create a unique four-course menu — two dishes by the guest chef, two by OzHarvest chefs—crafted entirely from rescued NSW produce.

For every ticket sold, at least six three-course meals were provided to people in need.

The line-up of chefs included Neil Perry, Paul Farag, Karima Hazim, Matt Moran, Jacqui Challinor, Aunty Beryl and Gabriel Conti.
