There are a large number of tourism, event and hospitality courses and internships offered by various tourism providers and the tourism industry recognises the value of offering students traineeship/internship places and work experience.
The tourism, event and hospitality industry is one of the largest industry groups in Australia. It offers training and careers in a wide range of sectors from travel to accommodation, transport, attractions, restaurants and visitor services.

Meetings and Events Australia scholarships
The NSW Government is supporting the future of the state’s event industry by providing scholarships for aspiring event managers in partnership with Meetings and Events Australia (MEA).
The scholarship program, managed by Destination NSW, will support seven up-and-coming event professionals to upskill by undertaking the SIT50316 Diploma of Event Management.
The Diploma of Event Management delivered by Meetings and Events Australia (RTO ID: 91329) is an industry designed and delivered qualification that includes training in the core competencies of the sector, from project and budget management to customer service and operational planning.
