Building on the National Sustainability Framework for the Visitor Economy, this program is an industry-wide rally cry to protect the environments, cultures and communities that make our destination world-class.
Every tourism business, regardless of size, location or offering, is invited to join the Green and Gold Promise. By joining, businesses are committing to a shared vision for sustainable tourism and five simple Principles that make for more responsible travel practices.
Operators that join gain access to a practical industry toolkit with resources for every stage of their sustainability journey. This includes how to communicate responsible travel behaviours to guests using the five key Principles: Celebrate Community, Embrace Culture, Preserve Place, Respect Wildlife and Take Care.
