Three visitor economy businesses have triumphed at the 2026 Sydney Business Awards.

This year's awards attracted 176 finalists, the largest field in the history of the Sydney awards.

Shangri-La Sydney won the award for Excellence in Large Business, while General Manager Rob Weeden was named Outstanding Business Leader (21 employees and over).

Sydney By Kayak took out Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Sustainable Tourism and Outstanding Visitor Experience.

The Excellence in Workplace Health & Wellbeing award went to Song Hotel Sydney.

Business NSW CEO Daniel Hunter said: “Every successful business creates something bigger than its own balance sheet.

"It creates jobs, opens doors for people and helps other businesses succeed.

"The businesses recognised tonight come from very different industries, but they all make Sydney a better place to live, work and do business."

Business Sydney Executive Director Paul Nicolaou said: “It tells you something about the confidence, ambition and depth of Sydney's business community.

“These awards bring together businesses of every size and sector, but they all have one thing in common: they’ve built something that works, and they’ve made it work in one of the world’s most competitive cities.”

The winners will now represent Sydney at the 2026 State Business Awards on 30 October 2026.
