Destination NSW has won Silver at the China Brand Marketing Awards 2025 for its “Meet Sydney – fall in love with NEW South Wales” campaign.
The accolade was announced during a gala ceremony at the InterContinental Shanghai on 28 July 2025.
Established in 2017, the China Brand Marketing Awards have grown to become one of the most prestigious in China, accepting entries from the Greater China region and across Asia.
The awards program honours enterprises, institutions, brands and industry leaders that have made outstanding achievements brand marketing.
Destination NSW won in the Destination Marketing category for a campaign it launched on Douyin, China’s leading short-video platform. Douyin, the Chinese version of the globally popular TikTok app, has 600 million daily active users and is one of the most visited social media platforms in the country.
The Destination NSW activation, which included collaborations with six high-profile influencers, attracted 32 million impressions throughout the campaign period from 22 December 2024 to 15 March 2025.
Prior to the launch of the campaign, Destination NSW had 2415 followers on the Douyin platform, with followers currently surpassing 53,830.
