Jamberoo Action Park has acquired Western Sydney theme park Raging Waters, which will be rebranded as Sydney Action Park and reopen in spring.

Jamberoo & Sydney Action Park Chief Executive Officer Matt George said: “The opportunity to expand into Sydney is not something that has happened by chance, but comes from years of dedication to guest experience, service standards, and presentation that have become synonymous with Jamberoo Action Park. This dedication has given us both the confidence and capability to take the next step.

“Our vision is simple - we want Sydney Action Park to become an iconic Sydney destination. A place that celebrates everything great about this city: its landmarks, its coastal lifestyle, its energy, and its people. This new brand will bring new character, landscaping, attractions, and events into the park to create the most unforgettable family experience.”

The Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce welcomed the announcement as a significant milestone for the region’s tourism landscape, reinforcing Western Sydney’s growing appeal as a destination for both domestic and international visitors.

Taskforce Chair Fazila Farhad said: “We need more world-class attraction parks like this to draw travellers to the region and encourage them to stay and spend locally.

“This rebranding is a major step forward in positioning Western Sydney as a hub for adventure tourism and will help attract new international markets seeking unique and exciting experiences.”

“With new international airline routes expanding access to Sydney via the Western Sydney International Airport, the addition of fresh and engaging attractions like Sydney Action Park will further strengthen Western Sydney’s tourism offering.”
