Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said the media familiarisation organised by the State’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, in partnership with Brand Orange will highlight the region’s premium wines and growing appeal as a leading NSW food and wine destination.

“We are delighted to be providing six high-calibre writers and bloggers with the opportunity to experience the Orange Wine Festival firsthand, where they’ll taste some of the best wines in Australia and preview elements from the festival program, including a recreation of Wine in the Vines, one of the festival’s signature events.”

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said people should plan their visit ahead to Orange Wine Festival to experience high-quality cool climate wines putting the Central West on the map.

“As Orange celebrates 20 years as a wine-growing region, we are excited to be supporting this media familiarisation to showcase the outstanding wine and produce on offer at the 2016 Orange Wine Festival, an event which continues to attract new audiences from across the country.”

The Orange Wine Festival will run from 14 – 30 October 2016 offering over 90 events including the Orange Wine Show Tasting, Wine in the Vines and the Festival Night Market.

The media visit to Orange will take place from Thursday 8 September to Friday 9 September 2016. For more information on the Orange Wine Festival go to visitnsw.com
