Starting in 2021 with The WEST Journal and now with the WEST App – WEST is now a is hyper local, hyper focused and hyper relevant digital discovery and connection platform geotargeting people wherever they are or plan to be, so they can discover and share their travel, food and culture experiences.
The WEST App is built on a fundamentally different community and connection model. Businesses are promoted through authentic, creator-led content on interactive maps.
There are no ratings, no reviews, no negative commentary. Every business is celebrated in context and geo-discoverable by locals and visitors actively planning their next travel, food or culture experience.
With more than 480 local content creators invited to become WEST Ambassadors with a combined reach of more than nine million, WEST is spearheading a new category of local discovery; one where authentic and trusted voices connect people and promote businesses, experiences and places that shape their communities.
The WEST App which will be launched at NSW on 26 May 2026, marking the next evolution of the WEST ecosystem. Bringing together content creators, councils, businesses and communities, WEST has already achieved major milestones ahead of the official app launch demonstrating strong demand for its new approach to local discovery and connection in a positive and brand-safe environment.
