Oprah Winfrey arrived in Sydney this week and has been exploring the city's food scene and natural wonders ahead of her 4 December appearance at TikTok Entertainment Centre.

Journalist Melissa Doyle is moderating her 'Oprah in Conversation' tour, which will focus on topics ranging from the power of authenticity to the necessity of resilience.

The global media leader, who has 21 million followers on Facebook alone, is staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney.

She asked Hugh Jackman for advice on his favourite Sydney locations ahead of her visit.

Jackman suggested she enjoy the spectacular scenery on the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk then head to Bills at Bondi for ricotta hotcakes.

She said in a social post that she had walked four miles for the hotcakes, calling the dish “worth every step.”

She later visited the Sydney Opera House and asked viewers what she should do next on her Australian itinerary.

The following day, Oprah explored the Wattamolla to Eagle Rock section of the Coast Track in Royal National Park.

"This is unbelievable. I hear the sound of the ocean and the sound of the birds. Unbelievable. This is why we hike," she said.

Afterwards she returned to Bills for another serve of hotcakes, then visited the nearby Gertrude & Alice Bookstore to browse the shelves.

"So good I had to come back TWICE! @billsaustralia's ricotta hotcakes have be singing out here," she wrote on Instagram.

Oprah also enjoyed dinner at Fred's in Paddington during her Sydney visit.

"They had the best bread of my life. Do you understand? My life," she told Seven News journalist Paul Kadak.
