Registrations are now open for the NSW Visitor Economy Forum 2026, with industry leaders from across tourism, aviation, accommodation, events, transport, investment and government set to gather at ICC Sydney on 9 November 2026.

Held one year on from the launch of the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035, this year's Forum marks a shift from setting the vision to accelerating delivery.

Under the theme Unlocking Growth, the Forum will bring together decision-makers, researchers and industry leaders to examine the trends, opportunities and priorities shaping the future of the NSW visitor economy.

Hosted by Destination NSW, the event is free to attend and open to all visitor economy stakeholders from across industry and government.

Destination NSW CEO Karen Jones said: "A year ago, we came together to launch the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035 and set a clear direction for the future. The challenge now is delivery.

"The visitor economy is changing rapidly. Traveller expectations are evolving, technology is reshaping how people discover and book travel, and major investments in aviation, events, experiences and infrastructure are creating new opportunities for growth.

"The NSW Visitor Economy Forum brings together the people responsible for shaping that future. It is an opportunity to share insights; challenge thinking and focus on the actions that will make the biggest difference for our industry and the communities it supports.”

The program will feature original Destination NSW research, industry insights and practical case studies exploring:

  • future visitor demand and travel behaviour
  • visitor economy performance and growth opportunities
  • technology, marketing and destination discovery
  • experience development and innovation
  • events as drivers of visitation and expenditure
  • aviation, connectivity and investment
  • accessible and inclusive visitor experiences.

With visitor demand evolving, major investments underway and new opportunities emerging across aviation, accommodation, events and experiences, the event will bring together the people shaping the future of the NSW visitor economy.

The Forum will be followed by the NSW Tourism Awards, celebrating the outstanding businesses, experiences and individuals driving visitor economy success across the state.
