Destination NSW will bring the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035 to life on 18 November 2025 at its 2025 Visitor Economy Forum.

With the theme 'NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035 – Vision to Action', it will be a pivotal day of insight, collaboration and action.

The event will provide an opportunity to connect with industry leaders, government partners and innovators as we move from strategy to implementation—together.

The MC for the event will be multi-award-winning STEM journalist and broadcaster Rae Johnston (pictured main), who is the host of ABC Radio National’s Download This Show and ABC Radio Sydney’s Sunday Mornings.

She also travels the country as a TV host on NITV’s Going Places with Ernie Dingo, ABC’s Back Roads and SBS’ The Secret DNA Of Us.

Guest speakers will include Roy Morgan Head of Travel and Tourism Adele Labine-Romain, Commbank iQ CEO Makenna Ralston and FiftyFive5 Director Peter Firth.

Ms Labine-Romain has extensive experience in tourism strategy, policy development and industry leadership, with a career that includes executive roles at Tourism Australia and the Tourism & Transport Forum. Prior to joining Roy Morgan, she was the Travel & Tourism sector lead at Deloitte and a Partner with Deloitte Access Economics.

CommBank iQ is a data science and analytics joint venture between the Commonwealth Bank and Quantium. Destination NSW partnered with CommBank iQ earlier this year to harness de-identified transactional data from millions of consumer purchases across the state and unlock powerful insights to support the growth of NSW’s visitor economy.

Fiftyfive5 is a leading independent market research company that works with clients across travel, health and public services, consumer goods and services, financial services, communications & media, digital and technology.

It specialises in opportunity identification, brand strategy and positioning, innovation, category strategy, CX and experience measurement and brand communication tracking.

The NSW Visitor Economy Strategy has a bold vision to grow annual visitor expenditure to $91 billion, create 150,000 new jobs, and unlock 40,000 accommodation rooms and 8.5 million airline seats.

This forum is your opportunity to help shape the future of the visitor economy in NSW.
