Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres announced VANFEST will be supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, for the next three years.

“Adding to an outstanding NSW calendar of summer events, VANFEST 2015 will boast an exciting line-up of national and international music acts,” Mr Ayres said.

“This event is anticipated to deliver over $2.3 million in visitor impact over the next three years, bringing positive economic benefits to the Forbes community.”

VANFEST was originally launched as a one day festival in 2014 by father and son team, Grant and Matt Clifton who recognised the need for live entertainment within the Forbes community.

“We are excited to have Destination NSW on board to collectively bring Regional NSW a fantastic cultural event that engages the community and supports the local economy,” Matt Clifton said.

Member for Orange Andrew Gee said this fantastic festival will attract music fans across the nation and generate more visitors to this unique NSW town.

“Forbes has so much on offer for all tastes and interests and we are thrilled that VANFEST will be held in this spectacular region for the next three years,” Mr Gee said.

VANFEST 2015 will be held on Saturday, 5 December at Forbes Showground, with camping available. Tickets are on sale now at www.vanfest.com.au
