About this report

The Destination NSW Annual Report is a summary of the agency’s activities, performance and how public resources have been applied during the reporting period.

It highlights achievements and initiatives undertaken during the financial year ended 30 June 2025 to support the growth and sustainability of the NSW visitor economy.

In addition to reporting on the financial results for the past year, the report looks to the year ahead.

Destination NSW has compiled the Annual Report in line with requirements from the Government Sector Finance Act 2018 (GSF Act), the Government Sector Finance Regulation 2024, TPG25-10a Group 1 – Annual Report and other NSW Government legislation and policies.

Together, we aim to build a future that celebrates this rich, unique heritage and fosters an inclusive, sustainable and respectful visitor economy.

Overview

Destination NSW is the lead agency, champion and voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government.

Strategy

Destination NSW drives a coordinated, whole-of-government approach to achieving the targets and vision outlined in the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2030.

Operations & performance

The agency’s divisions include Consumer Marketing, Corporate Services, Events, People and Culture, and Policy, Product and Engagement.

Management & accountability

Destination NSW's transparency, integrity and adherence to best practices provides a solid foundation for decision making and accountability.

Sustainability

Destination NSW prioritises advocacy, capacity building and the promotion of sustainable practices.

Financial performance

Destination NSW is committed to transparent budgeting, efficient resource allocation and rigorous financial controls.
