The Destination NSW Annual Report 2024-25 has been honoured with the Special Award for Online Reporting (Public Sector) at the 2026 Australasian Reporting Awards.
The report also received a Silver Award in the Public Administration - State category.
The Annual Report provided a summary of the agency’s activities and performance in the financial year ended 30 June 2025, showing how public resources were applied.
It highlighted achievements and initiatives that were undertaken during the period to support the growth and sustainability of the NSW visitor economy.
The Australasian Reporting Awards are administered by Australasian Reporting Awards Limited (ARA), an independent not-for-profit that aims to provide organisations that produce an annual report with an opportunity to benchmark their reports against the ARA criteria, which are based on world best practice, and their peers.
The Awards were introduced in 1950 to improve the quality of annual reporting in Australia and raise public awareness of the purposes of organisations and their achievements.
The awards program has evolved to include organisations across the Asia-Pacific region.
To receive a Silver Award, an annual report must provide quality coverage of most aspects of the ARA criteria; provide good disclosures of key aspects of the core business; and address current legislative and regulatory requirements.

The ARA Online Reporting Award was introduced in 2014 to encourage the development and effective use of digital technology to increase the ease of navigation and comprehension of annual reports published online.

Destination NSW Graphic Designer Jasmin McDonald, Corporate Digital Communications Manager Alana House and Senior Coordinator Corporate Communications May Willard were in attendance to collect the awards.
Regarding Destination NSW’s win in the Online Reporting category, the judges said: “The major strength of this report is its generously spaced, colourful presentation style. Content is image-led with lots of white space around images and text, which encourages readers to enjoy the scenery or activities on display, and appreciate the related text messaging.”
