Destination NSW has partnered with Tourism Australia to support the production of an episode of the Netflix hit series Somebody Feed Phil.

Sydney is spotlighted in season eight of the award-winning food documentary series, which is available now to stream.

During the episode, popular American writer and producer Phil Rosenthal visits Sydney locations including Saint Peter, Firedoor, Porkfat, Speedos Cafe, A.P Place and Refettorio OzHarvest.

Food writer Pat Nourse accompanies Rosenthal to Firedoor, where chef Lennox Hastie sources seasonal local ingredients and cooks them exclusively over an open flame, without any help from gas or electric heat.

At A.P Place, Rosenthal recommends the brisket pie and porchetta sandwich, while he describes Saint Peter as one of the best seafood restaurants he’s ever visited.

Rosenthal joined his cousin Jeremy Shartar and his college best friend Tom Mcgowan for a meal at one of the expat's favorite Thai restaurants, Porkfat.

The star also dined with Ronni Kahn, the founder of OzHarvest, at her refettorio.

The 50-minute episode explores Australia’s diverse culinary offerings, spotlighting the country's native ingredients, multicultural dining influences, fresh produce and exceptional wine offerings.

“It’s just so easy to be here," the Netflix star said.

"Australia is a feast, and there’s just so much more to see. I could spend the rest of my life exploring it.”

Sydney Harbour is also spotlighted in the episode, with Rosenthal taking a Sydney by Sail cruise.
