Regional Event Fund

12 March 2012

The Regional Event Fund identifies and supports events in regional NSW that have the potential to act as a ‘cornerstone’ or flagship tourism event for their area by attracting overnight visitation and delivering long term benefits to the region.

Since it was established in 1996, the Fund has supported 381 individual events across regional NSW.

In 2016-2019, the Regional Event Fund was expanded to include two new streams in addition to the existing marketing support stream. The name “Regional Event Fund” is the umbrella title under which the three streams sit:

Incubator Event Fund

Supports the establishment of new events.
Applications for the 2019 Incubator Event Fund are now closed.

Flagship Event Fund

Supports the marketing of emerging events to increase their profile and encourage visitation.
Applications for the 2019 Flagship Event Fund are now closed.

Event Development Fund

Supports the strategic development of proven flagship events as drivers of tourism.
Applications for the Event Development Fund are currently closed.
